Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to evaporative emissions systems are among the 10 most-frequently encountered codes in the service bay and can be some of the most difficult to diagnose.
Veteran instructor Dave Hobbs from Delphi will take technicians through several carmakers’ EVAP systems to help them understand the differences and similarities in operation. It also will zero in on the causes of several of the most-common evaporative-system DTCs and present tips on getting the greatest benefits from scan tools and EVAP leak-detection equipment.
