Description
Every engine produces blow-by gases, and without proper ventilation, crankcase pressure can build up, leading to oil leaks, sludge formation, and oil contamination. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) systems were designed to solve this by safely routing harmful vapors back into the engine to be burned, reducing emissions while protecting engine health. Beyond emissions control, PCV systems remove moisture from the crankcase, extend oil life, and reduce sludge buildup. A properly functioning PCV system is critical, as failures can cause oil consumption, leaks, noises, and drivability issues. Using the correct, application-specific PCV components—and replacing worn grommets—ensures proper sealing, reliable operation, and long-term engine protection.
