What is The Leaf Mark On the PowerStop Brake Pad label, and why it’s important.

Have you seen the leaf mark on the side of PowerStop brake pad label?

This symbol specify the level of copper content in the friction material.

Since 2010, California and Washington require this mark to sell products or material found harmful to fish or wildlife.

Harmful Materials include Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Asbestiform Fibers, Cadmium, Chromium, Mercury, and Lead.

These martials are regulated by a 3rd party, NSF International. There are 3 levels, level N, level B, and Level A.

These levels describe the acceptable of the materials within brake pads approve by NSF.

PowerStop displays the leaf mark symbol on the side of brake pad box to guarantee the product you are buying will comply with law.
