“Preparing For The Final Drive Home” – Interactive Mobile Training The Group Training Academy EV Tour

March 22, 2021

March 22, 2021 – Morgantown, WV

So, we're preparing for the last stop on this leg of AVI and The Group Training Academy's training tour, and I must say things have gone smoother than expected. Other than our flat trailer tire and my royal rumble with Kentucky chicken wings, it was smooth sailing. As mentioned previously, we'll be taking what we've learned on this tour, combine that with the feedback received from the participants, and along with all other factors, compile a plan for our next training excursion. Stay tuned.

One item not previously mentioned is that when John and I returned from the Kentucky/Ohio training sessions, we did not drop off the Prius and trailer at his shop. Instead, based on a request from a repair clinic owner in Medina, OH, we left the trailer and Prius at our partner Mighty Auto Pro for owner Bill Hill to use as advertising for his growing electric vehicle repair business. If you live near Medina and require hybrid repair, give Bill a call.

So the plan for our final training stop in Fort Myers, Florida, is for me to leave tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, drive north to pick up The Talent and the trailer in Ohio, and then for us to beat it south toward our home office and world headquarters in Fort Myers. John will have a busy week, as he will be filming new content for The Group Training Academy and AVIOnline on Thursday and Friday, and then teaching the EV class on Saturday. We probably won't make it to Fort Myers tomorrow (1400 trailer-towing miles), but we'll knock off the majority of it to make for a shorter travel day on Wednesday. That may sound like a lot of seat time, but long-distance travel via vehicle is a nicer proposition than air travel. You can go at your own pace, eat when, where, and what you want, and you don't have to sit next to Mr. Stinky Feet.

Wait. John is riding with me. Ignore that last statement.

The next installment will be late tomorrow, as it will come from somewhere on the road. I'm hoping for at least somewhere in South Carolina, maybe even Georgia. John says Disney World. Either way, we'll take some pics to share some visual content of our life on the road.
