NACAT Conference

What happens during the week of a NACAT Conference?  That phrase is often uttered by a first-time attendee, as well as by some well seasoned veterans.  Why is this?  Quite simply, it is because of all the excitement that can occur during the week, as each host is left to determine specific aspects for the week.

The overall schedule of events is standardized, yet the fun which ensues throughout the week due to training, social activities, and impromptu learning congregations is not.

A tentative schedule for the 44th annual NACAT Conference will soon be available in the left menu.  If you have a competitive spirit, definitely check out the rules for the Tuesday night valve cover race:  if you want to participate, a tutorial and video from 2010 is presented so you can both learn how to make a racer and scout your competition.  Finally, there is a link to the NACAT Education Foundation Silent Auction.  The Silent Auction, held with items donated by conference attendees, sees 100% of its collected funds go to support scholarships and awards.

Do you see anything that looks good so far?  Did I mention there are numerous family activities for the family members of those who are attending the conference?  Sometimes they are sponsored, but please plan on paying for any activities in which your family members partake.  What about the Tuesday BBQ, the Trade Show, the Thursday Banquet, or any of the other potential social activities?
